Petrol Volvo S60: what changes with a remap
Factory petrol calibrations leave margin for poor fuel and hot climates. A remap tunes the ignition, fuelling and boost maps to make better use of that margin, which shows up as livelier throttle response and stronger acceleration.
Volvo S60 R 2.5t 300 against other S60 engines
Of the 8 petrol S60 engines in our data, this one comes 2nd for power gain, which is 9 bhp above the S60 petrol average of 36 bhp.
Across our whole catalogue the average petrol remap adds 27 bhp and 51 Nm, so this engine's 45 bhp and 85 Nm sits at or above that benchmark.
